At
the original location of Loganberry Books (1994-2003), we shared space
with Dede Moore Oriental Rugs where books and rugs were happily
intermingled
in one space. I had a great rapport with Dede and somehow the
combination
worked great.
Gradually, the book and rug inventories expanded. We rearranged and crammed more in, and still needed more space. So in 1997 we knocked down a wall and annexed the adjacent space. The businesses continued to grow, and that means more inventory, and more changes. Dede retired in September 2001 and sold the business. The new rug shop quickly tripled the inventory, the books kept multiplying, and there were no more walls to knock down. |
It
began to get crowded. So in September 2003, Loganberry Books
moved
to its new location, just down the street. Now we have lots of
room
for bookshelves, and room to grow. The rug shop stayed at the
original
location, and now has the necessary space to display their
inventory.
Lots of space, just what both of us need!
So, um, how long before we run out of space again? |
