ABOUT THE AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR
All I know about Sharon Kane are the titles of five small children's books she illustrated in the sixties.

LOGANBERRY LEGACY
Little Mommy is often confused for a Eloise Wilkin title, but it is written and illustrated by Sharon Kane.  While there are some similarities of style, they are easily distinguishable.  Customers are also known to go into a rhapsody of recited text of this nostalgic favorite.  Its gender disparity is a tad embarrasing in today's society, but if you loved it as a child, that's just doesn't seem to be relevant...  It's back in print!

Hey, where's my favorite title?

Out-of-print books are harder to stock than new books, and some are hard to find, period.  If the title you are seeking is not listed for sale above, that probably means that I am currently out of stock.  However, I am always on the lookout for books, and will gladly quote you when I do find your coveted book. To add your name to my Wants Files, simply fill out a Book Request Form and I will e-mail you when I have a copy in stock.  Thanks.

SELECTED STUMPERS & REQUESTS
Little Mommy was my favorite book as a child.  I would love to see it again.

I had this book as a chld and it had become one of my daughter's favorites.  It has been lost and I'd dearly love to replace it.

I'm looking for a Little Golden Book called Little Mommy.  The copies I've found on the net are so high-priced that I just can't afford them ($175+).  Maybe this high price is customary for this book, in which case I need to save up prior to purchasing!

I'm interested in, if nothing else, the words to the story Little Mommy by Sharon Kane.  It was my daughter's favorite story growing up (she's now 30) and I would love to read the story to her daughter, my first grandchild.  Can you help?  Our original copy was destroyed in a flood years ago.

I am looking for the Little Golden Book, Little Mommy and I understand it is very difficult to come by.  I am not a book collector.  I would like to obtain this book to give to my daughter who is expecting her first child (a girl) April 6th. Little Mommy was purchased by "my" mother, who gave it to my daughter back around 1972 or 1973.  I left the book on a bus in Va. about 23 years ago.  Thinking I could go to the store and purchase another one it didn't bother me much.  I also knew the book by heart and would tell it to my daughter at night.  We tried years ago to find the book (before the internet) and could not.  Maybe you can help me locate a copy.  My daughter would be very happy to see this book again and to have for her daughter.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

My favorite story as a kid...I still remember it verbatim!  Really want a copy...ANY COPY, for my daughter!

I read this book as a child and remember the pictures, and the story but can't find it anywhere.  I now have a 4year old daughter and know how much she would enjoy it.  I always look on the backs of Golden books to see if I can find it but never have been able to.  It was either The Little Mother or Little Mother, something along that line.  The little girl in the book had blonde hair and hung her doll's clothes up on a minature clothes line.  Oh I hope you can find it.

I am 33 and remember a book or books from childhood that I thought was called Little Mommy.  I thnk it was a Little Golden Book, but I have had no luck with web seraches.  The only parts that I can remember are "Billy is daddy, he works in the city.  He drives a new car.  Isn't it pretty?"  and "My children are Annabel, Betsy and Bonnie."  (Sounds pretty sexist, now that I'm a grown woman!)

My sister told me about you and I'm hoping you can help me.  When I was little, I had a book about a little girl and her dolls.  I think it was a Little Golden Book and the pictures may have been by Eloise Wilkins but I'm not positive.  What I do know is some of the words to the story.  Here they are: These are my children and I am the mommy. My children are Annabelle, Betsy, and Bonnie. They are good little children and do just as I say. We put on their coats and they go out to play. Billy is Daddy he works in the cityHe has a new car isn't it pretty. One of the little dollies gets sick and they call for Dr. Dan." He says he'll come as quick as he can." For dinner they're having "potatoes and blueberry stew. Now eat your spinach, it's good for you." I have hunted in many antique stores and cannot find this book anywhere.  My sisters and I would dearly love to find it for out children.  As you can see, it made quite an impression if we can remember the words. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Sharon Kane, Little Mommy.  My mom read this to my older sister and they both knew the words verbatim by the time I arrived!  I remember learning the words to the book just from overhearing their reading it.  If you find it, please let me know.  I wish to give it to my mom for Mother's Day.  Thank you.

Sharon Kane, Little Mommy.   Little Mommy was my absolute favorite book as a child.  My mother saved it for me and I gladly shared it with my own daughter, who also loved it.  We lost our home and everything we had in a fire 2 years ago.  The hardest loss to deal with is the loss of my family photos, both of my childhood, and especially of my daughters childhood, and cherished childhood treasures, such as our copy of Little Mommy.  If anyone out there knows where it can be found, without a tremendous cost like I have found through my numerous internet searches, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

I am trying to locate a little golden book, but I don't knwo the name.  I think the illustrator is Eloise Wilkin.  There is a little girl dressed up in high heels, and her mom's dress up clothes.  I think she also had a baby carriage.  I think it would have been published about 1955-1960.

Little Mommy.  I'm positive the illustrator is Eloise Wilkin, not positive that she is the author.

Little Mommy was my girls favorite Golden Book growing up.  I would liek to surprise her with it for Christmas if you could possibly find it for me.  I love your website.  So glad I stumbled onto it.  You are doing what I would love to be doing.  I would love to visit your bookstore.  Maybe I will someday when we are vacationing.  Thanks for all your help.

My mother read this to me as a young child.  I know the words by heart.  I now want to read it to my little girl and it is nowhere to be found at my mom's home.  It has become an obsession to find this book.  I can not afford to pay hundreds of dollars for it, but I would love it if you could locate me a copy.

This was a favorite book of my mom and sisters while growing up.  We have it mostly memorized, but have lost it and would like copies.  I especially want a copy for my mom, but also for we three girls.  If you can find one copy that would be wonderful, but four would be even better.  Thanks.

i really, really want to find this book. it does not matter to me if the book is impossible to find, and the only one you can find is a mess. but, if there are a few to be had please choose the one in best shape.

I would like this book for a friend.  She can practically recite it verbatim because of her reading it to her children so often.

Little Mommy.  My nephew's wife is searching for this book.  It was a childhood favorite.

just discovered this site.  I'm looking for a book from the sixties, think it ws a little golden book.  it reads, "this is my house and i am the mommy.  my children are annabel, betsy and bonnie.  they are good little children and do just as i say.  i put on their coats and they go out to play.  billy is daddy and lives in the city.  he has a new car, isn't it pretty?"

My mother used to read this book when I was a little girl.  Now I'd like to read it to my daughter.  I haven't found it here in Sweden.  Do you know if it's possible to get it?  I've read about it here.

Elois Wilkins, Little Mommy.  Golden Books?, c. 1972.   My had this book as a child and it had become one of my daughters favorites. It has been lost and I'd dearly love to replace it.

I can't believe I'm part of a cult following of people who loved the book Little Mommy as a child.  The year was 1967.  I was 7 years old.  I played for hours with that book and my dollies, as we did not live near any girls and I have two brothers.  What memories!  So, I think to myself one day, maybe I can find "Little Mommy" on ebay or the net.  Imagine my surprise to find out that there are many of us out there that are looking for the book and that Little Mommy is a rare and expensive book now.  I think my mom may have paid 39 cents for it at the Fed Mart on Grand Blvd near our home in Phoenix.  Well, I'm keeping my eye out on a good price for it.

Sharon Kane, Little Mommy.  I just happened on this web site after years of hunting this book.  Add me to your list.  I am a grandma now and sure wish I had kept this one.  I look everywhere I go and we antique alot!!! I think it was the pictures that were so captivating...so much to look at and talk with your child about.  Enjoyed so much reading the other comments and just seeing the cover of the book on your website.  Oh sweet memories!!
